This document applies to Localyn, operated by Localyn LLC. Account creation is open to eligible adults age 18 or older in the states Localyn supports — not nationwide. Policies may be updated as Localyn changes.

These tips are educational. Localyn is an online platform connecting community members. Localyn does not guarantee a safe meeting, does not process payments, and does not provide purchase protection unless a future feature expressly says otherwise.

Descriptions and photographs are supplied by members. Localyn cannot guarantee condition, authenticity, ownership, legality, availability, or pricing accuracy. Localyn may remove listings that violate policies but cannot review every listing before publication.

An Identity Verified badge or similar trust indicator only means certain identity information was successfully verified when that feature is available. It does not mean the member is trusted, endorsed, financially reliable, safe, honest, qualified, or recommended by Localyn, and it does not guarantee that a transaction will go well.

Members remain responsible for their own decisions. Use good judgment and consider the Trust Summary together with other available information — it is not a warranty or guarantee.

Practical safety tips

When meeting about a listing:

Meet in a public location when practical
Tell someone where you are going
Inspect items before paying whenever possible
Verify the item and the transaction
Use payment methods with appropriate protections when relevant
Avoid advance payment before verification
Do not share unnecessary financial or identity information
Trust your instincts
Leave if something feels unsafe
Report suspicious activity on Localyn when tools are available
Contact emergency services for immediate danger
