This document applies to Localyn, operated by Localyn LLC. Account creation is open to eligible adults age 18 or older in the states Localyn supports — not nationwide. Policies may be updated as Localyn changes.

Firearms — permanently prohibited

Firearm listings are strictly prohibited on Localyn. Do not list firearms or attempt to work around this rule.

These rules apply to sale listings and to Looking to Buy buyer requests.

This prohibition does not ban previously approved adjacent outdoor categories when they are lawful and accurately described, including archery equipment, crossbows where legally permitted, hunting clothing and accessories, and outdoor sporting goods.

Other prohibited or restricted items and services

Attorney review required. Final prohibited-items categories require attorney review before launch.

Subject to attorney review and applicable law, Localyn also prohibits or restricts listings involving:

  • Illegal goods
  • Stolen property
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Recalled or unsafe products
  • Hazardous materials
  • Controlled substances
  • Prescription-only products
  • Alcohol or nicotine products where prohibited or unsupported by Localyn
  • Adult sexual content or services
  • Explosives
  • Human remains
  • Wildlife or animal products prohibited by law
  • Fraudulent documents
  • Personal data or financial information offered for sale
  • Pirated or copyright-infringing goods
  • Items promoting violence or illegal conduct
  • Services that are illegal, deceptive, exploitative, or unsafe
  • Any category Localyn cannot moderate responsibly

Additional restrictions

Localyn may prohibit additional categories based on law, safety, platform risk, payment-provider rules, insurer requirements, or operational limitations.

Localyn may remove listings that violate this policy but cannot review every listing before publication. Members remain responsible for what they list.

If you are unsure whether an item is allowed, do not list it until you have confirmed it is lawful and permitted.
