Copyright complaint requirements

A useful copyright complaint should include, to the extent applicable:

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
Identification and location of the allegedly infringing material on Localyn
Your contact information
A good-faith statement that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner
Your physical or electronic signature

Counter-notification

If your content was removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification that includes the elements required by applicable law.

Repeat-infringer policy

Localyn may terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, consistent with applicable law and Localyn’s enforcement practices.

Knowingly false claims

Submitting a knowingly false copyright complaint or counter-notice can have legal consequences. Only submit notices you believe in good faith are accurate.
