Review Policy

Eligible reviews come from members who satisfied Localyn’s objective review eligibility requirements for a specific marketplace conversation. Eligibility is based on those objective requirements — not AI, keyword analysis, sentiment, or subjective judgment. Viewing a listing or merely opening a conversation is never enough.

Where supported, Localyn intends one buyer review and one seller review per eligible interaction. Members should edit an existing review rather than create a duplicate when editing is available.

Ratings and written reviews use Localyn’s normal marketplace review system. They appear on public profiles, contribute to Trust Summary signals such as Overall, Seller, and Buyer ratings where shown, and represent the experiences and opinions of eligible members. They should be considered together with other available information and are not a certification, warranty, guarantee, endorsement, or prediction of future behavior.

For ordinary marketplace listings, review eligibility may follow Localyn’s Verified Listing Interaction requirements for that listing conversation — for example, both members participating in the thread, exchanging messages, and meeting any applicable waiting period, or the seller marking the listing sold to that buyer on Localyn.

Reviews stay tied to that listing conversation even if the listing is later removed from active marketplace results.

Online Yard Sale reviews use the same marketplace review and Trust Summary system as other eligible marketplace reviews.

For Online Yard Sale conversations, review eligibility follows completed-transaction rules: the seller records a completed transaction with a specific buyer in that conversation. Completing one buyer transaction does not end the Online Yard Sale or affect other buyers or items.

Ending an Online Yard Sale removes the overall sale from ordinary discovery and is separate from completing an individual buyer transaction.

After an eligible completed Online Yard Sale transaction, the buyer and seller may each leave one review for that transaction. Those reviews apply to that buyer conversation only — not the entire Online Yard Sale.

Fake, purchased, coordinated, retaliatory, extortionate, manipulated, or misleading reviews are prohibited. Do not offer compensation for positive reviews or condition a benefit on leaving a favorable review.

Localyn does not edit reviews merely because members disagree with them. Reviews may be moderated or removed when they violate Community Standards, this Review Policy, or applicable law.

Disagreement with a negative review alone does not guarantee removal. Trust indicators and badges do not guarantee honesty, safety, or transaction completion.
